There is considerable variation in the tones and styles of the different type faces in use. It is advisable to select types with consideration for their greatest effectiveness on specific finishes of item to be imprinted.
These type faces work nicely in our shop for
Hot Stamping Type, Nice Monogramming Type, Type for Personalization, Debossing Type, Blind Stamp Type.
Note that fine lines and delicate serifs appear week and irregular when printed on items of rough or coarse texture. Also, very small types, or lower case letters with small opening are apt to appear mussy and tend to become filled in with foil when printed on coarse textured materials. In general, letters with light strokes or serifs will imprint much better on smooth services.
When printing on bright colored backgrounds one might consider choosing a type that has size, style and boldness to stand up to the colored background so no loss in readability is encountered.
